Best Time to Visit: to Getting There:You can get to the park from: (1) Motu township: Follow the signs from the Matawai township (located on State Highway 2 between Gisborne and Opotiki); (2) Opotiki: Follow State Highway 35 to the Old Motu Road turnoff which heads inland to Toatoa. Accommodation:There are basic huts available for recreationists to use while in the ranges and informal camping is also permitted throughout the park. Whitikau campsite is available next to the Motu River.
